Crochet my Little One’s shirt

I just finished making my baby boy’s t-shirt, Inspired by Kenikse on youtube called Crochet Hexagon Shirt and I’m already excited to start on the next one! It took me about a week to finish, but seeing him wear it today made every bit of effort so worth it. I’m really proud of how it turned out, and it’s so rewarding to see him enjoy it.

Lately, I’ve been struggling with sleep. The past few weeks have been tough, and it’s definitely affecting my mental health. I did some research and learned just how important sleep is for our overall well-being, so if you can, make sure to get some rest whenever you can. Your body and mind will thank you!

Back to the t-shirt — I used granny squares to make it, and it was honestly one of the most satisfying projects I’ve worked on. There’s something so special about making something by hand for your little one. It feels like a little piece of love stitched into every square.I could tell he really loves it because he absolutely did not want to take it off. I needed to add the buttons, so I gently asked if I could take it off just for a moment to finish it. As soon as I started to remove it, he had a full-on meltdown! He definitely wasn’t ready to part with it just yet. 😅

This little crochet shirt quickly became one of my favourite projects, Not only is soft and comfortable, but it also feels extra special knowing it was handmade just for him. Every time he wears it, Im reminded that crochet is more than a hobby – it’s a way to create memories to last.

If you’re a fellow yarn lover, I encourage you to try making something special for your little one. It doesn’t have to be perfect – every stitch carries love. Here’s a quick photo preview of my journey making this piece. I’ll be uploading the full tutorial in my next post!

Happy crocheting, and here’s to handmade memories!
